Why do they have to be hostile? Why can't we barter with them like bartering with piglins and have them fight mobs ? And why not carry stone swords ? Mojang isn't going to add any weapons atm

Shouldn't they actually add human npcs first ? Villagers are a completely different type of species. If they add human npcs like Steve and Alex this would fit perfectly .
