Moths

Moths would be a giant but passive mob that would live in caves you could tame them and ride them. The would not attack if you attack them.

    So, Mothra? I'm incredibly down, I just can't see the Minecraft Team getting on board with this. However! Since they've already introduced bees, I think butterflies and moths could be a very cute regional variant. In this case, neither mob would even need to serve a direct purpose, but rather exist passively, simply to add more wonder and beauty to the land. Maybe they could (on rare occasions) drop phantom membrane, or their own variant of a butterfly wing. Very interesting idea!! :)

    There could also be tiny flying ants that stay near light sources.

    Other than riding in large caverns, it would be very hard to fly through caves on them.
