@riptor werewolf, I know that's not effective in real life, but Minecraft isn't real, & the lack of sweeping edge holds tridents back from being a viable weapon.

Tridents do actually need sweeping edge. They currently lack the ability to properly deal with grouped enemies up close in any version of the game, & sweeping would fix that nicely.

Naming a strider "Dave" should give it sunglasses. This is a reference to Dave Strider, a character from Andrew Hussie's webcomic Homestuck.

I think the trident should be upgradeable with netherite, because it would help to maintain balance between the three major melee weapons. If the trident doesn't get a netherite form, fewer people...
