I like it but I wouldn't include the villagers part. They are our fellow humans after all. If villagers would follow anything it would be an Emerald Block, and even then I'm not sure.

I think a lightning rod would attract any lightning that strikes in that chunk of the world (16 x 16 area). Also this could be used for a charged creeper farm.

I love the bonemealing part as, at the moment, coral is a limited resource. This would make it farmable on a large scale without ruining the pristine feel of the coral reef.
