I love the look, function and idea, but there's just one thing that's bugging me.
You can't see what books you have in it, so imagine this:

you can 'open" your bookshelf and with the mouse go over the books to see the enchantments just like you do when they're in your inventory, this will save a lot of time. Now we have to take out a book, go to our inventory and see what it is. If this get fixed, i think a lot more people will use this.

Besides that tho, it's a great item to have in the game!

They're cool, but they feel just short of perfect. I think books should be dyable (they're made of leather) and the books on the bookshelf should reflect the color of the book you put in it. Also there should be some  way of reading the title of the book you're looking at

✯✯Sería Genial que agreguen otro tipo más de estantería, uno que sea funcional para colocar macetas con flores, lamparas, mini cofre y reloj

Update the texture of the bookshelves, so that it has some books that look like the chiselled. Some thin as always and others with the design of the new ones.

    • Chiseled bookshelves should emit light if they are storing enchanted books. They could also have subtle practical effects like the bookshelves around an enchanting table.
    • Chiseled bookshelves should allow a variety of items to be displayed in place of a book. For example, a potion, an apple, a nautilus shell, turtle eggs or spider webs. Every item helps tell a story and the type of items next to the books on the chiseled bookshelve will tell that story.
    • Looking at the spine of a book should display its name while on the shelf, just like looking at an ominous banner in an item frame. Enchanted books would need to be renamed to their title.

I think we also need a non-chiseled bookself -- I don't mean the ordinary one, but I mean a bookself that look very similar to the chiseled one.

In other words, a bookself that looks like a full chiseled bookself, but static.

Then we can disguise a chiseled bookself in them without the lag generated by the block entity of chiseld bookselves. A good way to hide secrets!

I love this idea, but when I tried to implement them into my enchanting room for storing special enchantments, it caused a huge amount of lag. I had 5 of them full of books and I was probably getting 5 fps at best. I’m not sure how this can be improved but it makes them practically unusable for me.

I would like potions to be stored on the shelves as well. I don't know how difficult it is for programmers, but it would give it more variety compared to just storing books.

I would love to be able to store maps as folded up scrolls in these slots as well. It would be useful and a nice visual. I would love to be able to store copies of a map that way and access them without having to access an inventory screen.

Make a way for a book to be used as a secret door knob
