Ever dreamed of making a beautiful bamboo build? Now's your chance! We're introducing a full bamboo wood set in update 1.20, complete with everything from stairs, mosaic blocks a unique new look for boats.

    Esta buena la nueva madera y creo que este es el momento perfecto para agregar las aldeas de jungla al juego que estas estuvieran en los árboles y en el suelo con la madera de jungla y de bamboo que estas tengan un estilo amazónico fueran un poco más abiertas pero sin perder su seguridad, siento que esto le daría un toque más bonito al juego ojalá y me escuchen

    I hope they make this additions
    +bamboo rafts/slab similar as thin as trapdoors, works like a slab
    +hanging bamboo ladder
    +ropes should be added as a new ingredient
    +bamboo spike wall works like a primitive defense walls
    +bamboo spike this can be a great addition to trap builds
    +bamboo shoots should work like a tree sapling
    +a cool feature for bamboo raft with chest, can be leashed then you can gather more resources while dragging a raft leashed with a rope
    +crafting bamboo wood set should have a rope as an ingredient
    +bamboo trapdoors
    +bamboo wood set should have more explosive resistance a good counter for creepers

    +bamboo wood set are more easier to break than other wood set like how bamboo are easier to harvest than other logs

    The player should stand up when rowing the raft, with two hands on one paddle when rowing. The other player could sit down like normal. That way, rafts will feel more realistic, while having same functions as a boat.

    Why is it called bamboo mosaic, anyway? It's not a picture made of ceramic or glass tiles so it's a bit misleading. There are no other blocks in the game with the same name so it's not for consistency reasons. I think it would be better to call it bamboo weave.

    a feature i would love to see on the bamboo rafts, is when you use a fishing rod on it and if there's a player or entity on the raft we could force them to dismount (or launch them out in someway) since there are no walls like regular boats

    I personally feel you should make the bamboo look like the other wood blocks but green. I find the current design kind of messy. I do like the style of the rafts and fences, but I think it would be nice if bamboo wood blocks matched the style of the rest of the wood blocks in the game.

    If we get a new wood-like set, why we didn't get log-like block like the wood for classic tree or the hyphae for the nether funghi ? That's could be interessting ! We should also get a new type of leaves or maybe similar to leaves to get a new type of decoration.

    It would be cool if you could actually expand the raft even just like 6x6 so you could put a bed down and travel large oceans,it's troublesome when your traveling it's night time and your unable to sleep since there's just water and your in the middle of nowhere,perhaps this could a another special thing able the bamboo blocks

    completely ruins the wood economy. collecting bamboo is crazy fast, and way more efficient than cutting trees. transforms any other wood into purely decorational blocks. It would probably be solved if the crafting recipe was 3x3 rather than 2x2. Ideally, it would be balanced so that it's more inefficient than other woods since it will always be more convenient.

    You should add bamboo walls. Like stone walls but its made with bamboo. It would make a nice privacy fence.

    The bamboo fence crafting recipe should replace sticks with the normal bamboo item.

    This breaks wood balancing. To solve this, you shouldn't nerf bamboo either, or buff regular wood types. What you should do is add specific advantages and disadvantages to each type.

    I think bamboo blocks are not bad even though I prefer the "wooden" types of planks (mangrove, cherry etc), but I do not understand what the bamboo mosaic was added to Minecraft for. Frankly, that's the worst block you have made lastly. It's just looks...wrong! It's same on all sides which is logically impossible. It should have cut ends on two opposite sides. Plus its texture is kind of divided in for pieces which doesn't make sense at all. Like, I get what you tried to make. It could be perfectly used as an old-fashion floor, but it looks weird for me. I don't like it personally. As it's quite useless even as a decorative block, I think it's extra and it should be deleted from the game. Thanks!

    Both of the new wood sets in this update are great, but I feel like there are many missed opportunities in the current state of bamboo blocks, especially given the plant's relevance to real life eco sustainability. Bamboo is a great alternative to wood, but it requires a lot more effort to refine.

    1)Bamboo stripping is too reductive.

    Bamboo IRL yellows after a combination of chemical treatment and heat. I think representing at least one of these would be better, though I'm partial to giving the smoker an exclusive recipe for drying bamboo blocks. Maybe a system like copper weathering as others have suggested, or using slime balls similarly to honeycomb.

    2)Block of Bamboo is not a storage block.

    Block of Bamboo should craft 9 Bamboo. This block should also be renamed to Bamboo "Bundle" (think Hay "Bale"). It can still be dried for the yellow texture. Bamboo Planks can now be crafted with 4 Bamboo Bundles.

    3)No green Bamboo Planks/Slabs/Stairs

    I think the current plank palette is sorely lacking green, so rename Bamboo Planks to Dried Bamboo Planks and add 3 blocks using the existing green texture. Also, I think Bamboo Mosaic should be the alternative to Planks in crafting (meaning no need for a green door, button, etc). Bamboo IRL needs to be cut into strips and pressed together to emulate hardwood lumber. Maybe rename Mosaic to Planks for clarity, and Planks to Mosaic, Slatted, or Split Bamboo.

    4)No green Bamboo Fence

    Personal gripe. Its recipe could use 4 Bamboo Bundles and 2 Bamboo.

    I would make the raft larger and remove the paddle. In it's place I would add a cleat on each end and side. This would allow bigger surfaces to be built up To allow moving livestock or chests. To limit this, set a breaking strength on the leash so if there are too many (whatever that might mean) some of the leashes can break and sometimes drop nothing (lost.) This breaking-apart can be set to balance things so they don't get rediculous. Of course without ores or paddles they would need to be towed either by a swimmer or a rower.

    I really think it would be great to have mosaics for the other wood types! This has become one of my favorite blocks and I would love to see other wood such as oak, birch, mangrove, and warped get the same treatment.

    The bamboo black poses a problem to people with trypophobia. (Same with frog eggs though). Lowering the contrast could help.
