Ever dreamed of making a beautiful bamboo build? Now's your chance! We're introducing a full bamboo wood set in update 1.20, complete with everything from stairs, mosaic blocks a unique new look for boats.

    We should get two bamboo block variants: Fresh and Dried. We started crafting these bamboo blocks with four green bamboo sticks so we should first get the green variant first. Same with the copper oxidation mechanic, unwaxed bamboo should slowly turn dry and yellow. That is all, thank you for this amazing feature.

    Remove the "traps" function for boats and especially rafts. It's extremely stupid when a smart monster just doesn't get out of the boat.

    Bamboo could be more yellow and slightly brownish.

    Crafting 2x2 bamboo is very small for one block. 3x3 is much better. Especially considering that bamboo is quickly and conveniently mined even without automatic farms.

    If bamboo is going to be a woodset, it might make sense to have breaking bamboo give a chance of dropping a bamboo shoot (to be used kind of like a sapling except it works the same as current bamboo instead of like a tree).

    This could also play into having fresh and dried bamboo wood types like someone else suggested, if you only got the normal fresh bamboo by breaking down the plant with shears or a sword, and got the dried version if you broke it with something else. The shoots and the fresh bamboo could always be planted, but the dry bamboo could only be used to craft sticks and wood.

    Please add variety of fence gates just like doors/trapdoors, the bamboo fence gate is kinda weird for me, (I'm in a province with many bamboo houses) and can you also please try to make it darker "if it looks better in that way"

    Bamboo blocks should have a higher blast resistance than other wood blocks. Perhaps similar to cobblestone. Maybe most projectiles could bounce off of them as well. Tridents and arrows fired from a Piercing Crossbow shouldn't bounce off of them.

    The same bamboo texture on all sides of a block is a bit weird. Two sides should have the cut ends of the bamboo, like you can see on the raft and fences. Making it a direction block would be nice, too, so we can pick which texture to show when building.

    I wish Rafts had better hit collision with players, and the oars were stored somewhere more aesthetically pleasing; making a bamboo bridge out of rafts would be so cool if it didn't look so janky.

    The texture of bamboo feels unpolished and not as good as the other woods. Should definitely have its texture changed, IMO.

    I like this new tipe of woof, and I have some ideas thanks to this. Firs I thin each type of wood should have a unique style of planks and boats, but that can acces to the actual default texture. Also, I think that the stone cutter, shoul can used for any type of salbs, stairs, chiseled blocks, and why not, trapdoors, doors, presure plates etc.

    About the texture I have my doughts, I think is some similar to the birch, for th colour, I thin that the planks should have crafted from a new type of stem of bambu, and this new bambu more thick, is only obtained if we get together 4 bambu saplins and we grow up with bone meal or naturaly can too

    I think slightly desaturating the texture would make bamboo a bit more useable among other colors. Also, green bamboo blocks would be great. Could be fresh and dry bamboo as completely separate blocks, or have a drying process similar to oxidation on copper.

    I strongly agree that there needs to be a green variant for bamboo building blocks! We don't have any green slabs, stairs, fences etc in Minecraft. It's a missing color option, and unfortunately terracota and concrete can't be cut into these. A green bamboo raft would be nice too.

    Bamboo wood is really cool but the texture is a bit too yellow for my liking, so I'm probably gonna use birch more, but a new wood type is always welcome. I'm not gonna complain about two updates with a new wood type in a row.

    I think bamboo is too OP. I feel this another witch farm to raid farm. With 1.20 in its current state bamboo will be the easiest crafting wood. It grows super fast and the bamboo farms are super easy. If you just want to crafting a crap ton of chests you would just build a bamboo farm instead of like a dark oak or 2x2 spruce tree farm. I think the recipe for bamboo planks needs to be made more expensive.

    I feel like the raft should have some kind of a unique mechanic, as it has a different texture and a different name than the boats. So what if you could lash one or multiple rafts together and thenamove them in a row? Would also be a possibility to add a bit more detail to the texture by modelling a little stick onto the raft or a embedded handle to the front and the back, where the leash is fixed. Oh, and the amount of leashes you can use could be limited to one or two, so you could lash a raft to the front (and one to the back) of another raft, without the feature being super weird by having multiple rafts lashed to a single one, so they would always collide...

    It would be cool if rafts that are placed adjacent to each other can connect to make a bigger raft. With a limit of course.

    Change bamboo blocks. The top and bottom parts should be with a cut of these stems, but so that we can set the direction of these stems, similar to how we can direct the position of logs.

    Acho que deveria ter a textura verde como é o bambu e se quiséssemos esse tom que está agora deveríamos descasca-la com o machado como fazemos com os troncos de madeira. E poderia trazer esses mosaicos para todas as variantes de madeira.

    A bamboo log or giant bamboo crafted with 9 bamboo can be crafted back to 9 bamboo
    It has two variants normal Green one and a stripped one

    I love this new Bamboo Wood Set! But, I think with the new Raft. Because, It's made of bamboo I think it should have something different from the boats.

    Make the bamboo wood set less yellow and more brown and woody. And the strap of the raft more green like jungle leaves

    For educational purposes, do not call Bamboo wood. It's not wood, it's grass.
