Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Explosive chests and barrels

You can craft explosive chests (1 TNT + 1 Redstone chest). They look like normal chests but explode when you try to open them. Chests in dungeons, treasure chests etc. can sometimes be explosive chests.

Same with barrels, but you get them when filling the inventory of the barrel with tnt. When you right click it with a flint and steal or set it on fire, it explodes. By adding several TNTs to the barrel, more powerful explosions can be produced than with normal TNT. (Important: 2 TNTs in a barrel are only minimally stronger than 1 TNT, not twice as strong).

    This isn't really necessary. To make a chest explode when it's opened, all you need is a trapped chest, with tnt under the floor below it.

    As for the barrels, that is kind of a seperate idea, and that could work. It would be nice to have a way to get stronger TNT.

    That is literally 1725 tnt, also known as 8640 gunpowder and 6912 sand or red sand. That would not be worth it for only one barrel. Instead you should craft it like you said with the trapped chest. Maybe gunpowder, tnt, a barrel, and redstone.
