Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Writable Scrolls(as alternative to book and quill) for the 1.20 update

So like how we have a book and quill. This item would be used to have a cheaper alternative to write your own messages. It would only be 1 page long and you'd craft it with one piece of paper and 2 sticks and charcoal . It would be placeable on a lectern and it could have an opening and closing animation. Where you pull the scroll down to read it. It doesn't have a unique use nor should it. I just think it would add more to the games atmosphere. Also since the theme of 1.20's update is self expression I think it could go together well with it. It seems to match with what features were shown at minecraft live. Personally I love building things that are ancient even in my survival world's. I like to leave things in areas where when I come across them again after so long. Having scrolls around the area would make it feel more filled. So I hope you like this idea and I really hope it gets added. You can freely add more to it or even take some away from what I've written. Thank you

    Scrolls would make perfect sense for the game. Sure, they aren't that unique in nature, but they provide a decorative, more simplistic alternative to book & Quill, which could be useful for map making or even multiplayer server lore.

    But it's not a scroll, it's a note, a sheet. The scroll would be crafted from several pieces of paper, it contains more records, which is why it is rolled up during storage.
    My idea is to use alternative materials like parchment, bamboo, clay for tablets. All of this would be functional cloning for enchantment, storage on shelves, which would improve the storytelling as it makes more sense to use more available resources.
