Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

block of darkness

The block will work as a block of light only emits darkness, but mobs will not spawn. Useful for builders when it will be necessary to create an artificial source of darkness.

    Great idea! Maybe as a variation on the already existing block of light, but you can set it to a negative value.
