Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

On signs, allow inserting 2-bit pictures of Minecraft blocks or items

I'm talking about being able to print pixel art of any block or item on a sign, as a binary image, 2-bits only.

You could type the item_id in between backslashes.

Items with wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, netherite variants would use the same binary image.

It would be the same as if you were typing actual Unicode into a sign prompt, but these would be symbols specific to Minecraft. (Minecraft emoji, if you want to call it that.)

It would be simpler (but much less colorful) than the usual method of putting up an item frame with an instance of the item you want to represent on it.
