It's frankly embarrassing for a game to be this big and not have basic accessibility features on several of its platforms. Do better.

I hate playing Java without subtitles, and that's purely because it gives me extra directional info about hazards! It's genuinely appalling that they don't have this feature on Bedrock already considering it's basic accessibility

I only played on Bedrock edition for ages and was so shocked when I was watching a Minecraft video with subtitles pop up- I have a hard time processing different noises at the same time, so I'd really like this to be added on the platforms I actually use. Particularly with things like the Warden and Deep Dark, it'd be a huge help.

The fact that bedrock, the port of MC specifically intended for every platform that isn't Java doesn't have caption is baffling and embarrassing

There’s a huge disabled community who loves Minecraft including myself and I have auditory processing problems. So I’d really appreciate subtitles and know tons and tons of ppl who would too

Please. I cannot move from Java edition because I cannot play without captions. Basic accessibility features shouldn't just be ignored!

I used to only have Bedrock, and due to the lack of hearing accessibility I grew so frustrated I couldn’t play survival. Moving to Java made me able to play at the level hearing people can. Please make this accessible for everyone.

Sound is such an important part of the game, and it genuinely feels difficult to play without it. I have APD and subtitles help so much, especially when there's a lot of mobs or when I'm in the nether or the end. Please add accessibility features for everyone, more people need them than you realize!

I’m deaf in one of my ears, and so when playing with headphones, I have to force mono audio. This has the effect that I can’t hear directional sounds as well, meaning that things that abled users would be able to do (like mining around a lava pocket while branch-mining or whatever) are significantly more difficult. In Java, I don’t have this problem. There are countless other absurd accessibility disparities between Java and Bedrock, and I sorely hope this is addressed soon.

Bedrock should have the same level of accessibility as Java, and since Mojang is pushing Bedrock so hard amongst users it is frankly ridiculous that subtitles and other features are unavailable.

Please, let me play with my hearing impaired friends! Don’t limit Minecraft to those with the most able bodies.

I'm surprised Minecraft Bedrock doesn't have subtitles for audio effects/sounds because in Java Edition it's a really useful and helpful feature to have in use. O_o I haven't got any sensory disabilities or other reasons like that to use accessibility features but even as a regular player the subtitles give me more peace of mind knowing that i don't need to rely on _just_ my hearing sense.

There are sounds in Minecraft that can be really subtle or quiet and having a little subtitle pop up on screen works as a really good warning in some situations, like when you are going deep underground to mine those diamonds and sooner or later you are going to be dealing with those lava pools nearby as you search for those valuable ores. The directional info is helpful too, if you have problems distinguishing where a sound is coming from in your stereo field(or if you don't trust your ears/speakers/headphones)...

(Though i'm also surprised that i only now realised that the subtitles are missing. I'd have thought i'd notice such a thing much sooner lol Maybe it's because i only now started to go for those diamonds so i haven't needed to worry about hidden lava sources yet... Actually the low amount of votes on this suggestion is surprising too, wow. My vote was just 255th... well, anyways, hopefully me logging into the feedback hub to give vote helps for us getting this parity feature. O.o I probably should share this suggestion around too...)

Please add this to Bedrock, Microsoft/Mojang! D:

As someone who is hard of hearing it's difficult to tell when mobs are nearby and I end up dying a lot because of it.

I have hearing problems due to health issues. I have to wear headphones and have my volume up way too high in order to hear sounds in the game. Subtitles would make my gameplay so much easier.

Yet another basic feature that this multi million dollar game doesn’t have… it’s been out over a decade. Also there’s no controller dead zone option which is the main reason I don’t play this game on console anymore. There is no precision for aiming because of the atrocious stick dead zones.

I’m baffled that they didn’t bother to put captions in Bedrock yet, considering it’s been a feature in Java for so long (8 years now!). A frustrating and frankly embarrassing oversight to neglect adding accessibility features to the more widely-used port of Minecraft.

sad theres no update on this. hopefully soon! accessibility options should be taken much more seriously espeically for such a large game

It's a damn shame captions are still not implemented into the game yet. I am profoundly deaf (very little hearing) and I get killed by creepers and other mobs that I just simply cannot hear. It's SO annoying when I am in my inventory or a chest or something and I'm blown to pieces by a creeper. It's ruined many gaming sessions for me and my deaf friends, and in fact, it's a major turn off when trying to recruit new deaf players to join my bedrock realm. Java just isn't as accessible in terms of everyone needing to be on a computer, but it's SO much less stressful any time I open up my inventory. FIX THIS!!!! IT'S NOT ABOUT PARITY, IT'S ABOUT ACCESSIBILITY!

It's difficult to respond in a game with a lack of hearing and unable to respond to audio that you can't hear well, easy to miss and result to unwated consenquences. It's a must have
