Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

What makes the scientific formation of deepslate different is the pressure applied. So, there would need to be some way of applying pressure to the stone to make it deepslate. My suggestion? an stack of Anvils above the block the stone will generate at.

In reply to the other commenter, the suggestion I’m attempting to give is intended to be practical and reasonable to any player playing the game, not scientific, and I don’t intend for this to be negative, but if you want something more scientific, then there should be many more steps involved, as it’s not a formation from lava and water, rather mudstone in a low pressure low heat environment. not to mention that stacking a bunch of anvils overtop a location just isn’t all that practical for the everyday player. And the reason I’m suggesting independent of y level when generating deepslate via lava is because the whole reason people are requesting this feature is that they don’t want to continue to mine all the way at the bottom of the world and come all the way back up just for some stone, or they want some way to access it from where they cannot, and it allows the player to choose where and when they would like to generate deepslate rather than being tied to a location that may be inconvenient or inaccessible to them
