Adding a new ore called ruby

I would like to know if it is possible to add Ruby ore.

It can be used to make armour and weapons but not as powerful as diamond or netherite.

When water flows on a lava source block that is on deepslate it will spawn a Ruby ore just like the cobble stone mining machine. 

And when you break a leaf block you will have a 1 in 2000 chance of getting a single Ruby 

The Ruby and diamond tree is another idea,

It is crafted with a oak sapling and a Ruby or diamond to create the Ruby or diamond sapling that when fully grown its leaves will have a 1 in 2 chance of having diamonds or Ruby's depending on how it was crafted. 

I also thought that you can craft a already smelted or whatever ore with stone to create fake ore

    It's unnecessary to have ruby gear, it should have a unique purpose. Maybe as an embellishing modifier instead, giving any existing gear some unique property? It should also be rare to find only in stone blocks, similar to emerald ore. Gem trees may be too OP.

    The idea is strange. 1. If you can automate their receipt, what is it for if everyone will have it? 2. Why do you need ruby equipment if there is a diamond and immediately better to get it than ruby
