Add the "Midnight Update" (Blood Moon, Moon Dust, Sun Shard for Sun Block)

You can add new mobs/events such as blood moons,  and make Minecraft a bit more hard and intense to bring that spark back. Add blood moons to excite the night instead of just going to bed. Make moon dust, adding to the lore. Add MANY THINGS combat and lore and adventure related, maybe naturally generating castles. Naturally generating shops to make it creepy, as if there used to be lively here but not anymore. Add new biomes so that people have new challenges.
