Last time, we explored the Moltan Volcano Region.(If you haven't, go check that out first!) And now we explore the building and practical side of it, the blocks! First, let's come back to the Volcano to demonstrate the amount of blocks here.
Now, to draw your attention to the volcano itself. That redish stone you see is called moltan stone, it also makes up the underground. The grass you see here is scorched and dead due to the heat, though it can be moved around with silk touch, we are still studying how this black grass does that though. And finally for the surface, Scorchwood trees! These trees have grown immune to all fire, even more than the nether woods. These can't be burnt, even in stick form, and can't craft campfires, or be burnt by fire, lava will still burn it though. Now let's go underground to find some more blocks. Burnt stone variants also make up here, all with the same redish hue. A new ore can be found here, ruby! This can craft tools and armor strong as diamond, and provides fire protection 4 when worn completely. That's why I had you where ruby armor before coming here, it's to hot to come without fire protection. Be careful for the fire creepers that lurk here in caves. They explode fire!
