Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

handheld lantern

The lanterns should be able to be held in hand and give off light without having to place them. They could run off of a candle that burns out and function like an old antique hurricane lantern or the old railway oil lanterns. But once you store it in your inventory it turns off until you equip it in hand again.

    Get Optifine. Mojang won’t be adding any more features from mods, including Optifine’s dynamic lighting.
