    That’s the role of whitelists and bans. If the server isn’t okay with modded clients, the admin can use /ban, /kick, and /whitelist to remove modded players.

    That's a great idea. I do really hate hackers in Hypixel. They always ruin our game.

    Some players do need the optifine client for their performance. Maybe the trusted client makers can send their hash codes to mojang and be whitelisted.

    Honestly, I was about to tell you about how this blocks general modded servers, but being able to disable it makes it a fine idea.

    Though this really should be baked into an anti-cheat - modded clients having to be identical to modded servers, otherwise blocking them.

    Ofc, unless it only affects things like rendering and sound.
