Budding amethyst has a few issues for more casual players:
-It breaks too quickly
-It cannot be moved
-It only grows when loaded
-It grows very slowly
Impact: builds including tinted glass are prohibitive for casual survival players. Babysitting and trimming geodes that may not be near the player's home for tens of hours for larger tinted glass builds doesn't fit the spirit of the game.
Solution: Add and change some properties of budding amethyst.
1: Increase the hardness of budding amethyst to prevent accidents while farming.
2: Make budding amethyst mineable with silk touch, BUT:
2a: Add tag: fast growing. True on world generation and does not affect the block. False when placed by player, it will grow more slowly. We already have similar tags, like in Sculk Shriekers.
With these three changes, players who want to mine the (relatively) fast-growing natural geodes will have fewer frustrating accidents and naturally-generated budding amethyst will still be valuable. Players who want to make larger builds with tinted glass and don't already live near geodes won't have to sink tens of hours into babysitting and trimming their geodes; instead exploring underground to harvest many geodes and building farms where they can be chunkloaded and accessed more easily.
