The Blocks:
- Black Sand that would be a desaturated and devalued variant of the gravel texture with similar gravity.
- Black Sandstone and all other black sandstone variants would be identical to red sandstone.
- Black Chiseled Sandstone would feature either the Ender Dragon, The Warden, or some other mob in the same way that Red Chiseled Sandstone does as it implements environmental storytelling pointing new players towards undiscovered bosses.
Possible or Suggested Recipes:
- Sandstone recipes as aforementioned
- Obtained from further smelting Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks
- Obtained from using a stone cutter on Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks or other Blackstone Blocks
- Obtained from adding adding black dye to Sand or Gravel
- Obtained from smelting Gravel
- Depending on the obtaining recipe, possibly smeltable into iron due to historical and realistic reasons, but alternatively into glass for balancing
Environmental Locations:
- Lava pools lack any scorching on the earth around them and should convert generated blocks into sorched variants like sand into black sand, and possible other relationships for dirt and stone into materials like blackstone and basalt.
- Nether biome feature, possibly as a lava beach.
- As the beach of a rare volcano biome which itself has been a feature request.
