There are many methods of transport in Minecraft, such as running, the nether, elytra, horses, or boats. However, one of the least used is the minecart tracks, so here's how I would fix it. The clearest thing that needs improvement is the speed. An obvious change would be to just increase the speed, but to make it more realistic, the longer a player rides over an amount of powered rails, the faster the player goes. Speed would slowly but surely increase, rather than having a set speed for traveling over powered rails. Say after traveling over 16 powered rails, you'd reach the maximun speed, maybe a speed equivalent to the legacy console edition minecart speed. If one wants to go even faster, then the furnace minecraft would come into play. As the furnace minecart pushes the minecart, it would match the speed of the minecart, with it being one block behind. The use of the furnace minecart comes when they both go over those 16 powered rails, as then the furnace minecart would increase the speed even faster, maybe 10% quicker than with just the minecart iver the 16 powered rails.
