Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Nether Chests (Balanced earlier-game Ender Chest with a unique use)

Similar to how Nether Portals work, you could link 2 Nether Chests together. They're kind of like earlier game Ender Chests, but you can only access items from those 2 areas. "well that's just a less powerful ender chest!" Exactly. You could craft it with 4 Nether Brick Blocks, 4 gold ingots, and a Glowstone Block. You would link them by shift-clicking 2 different chests, and it would drop itself when mined with a regular pickaxe, and be compatible with hoppers and other redstone components. This could be useful for redstoners, SMPs, and map makers, as anyone could access this chest.

    Here's my version of it, in trying to stay more in line with the cost of an Ender Chest.

    Crafted in quantum entangled pairs, the these Paired Portal Chests employ the same spacial folding properties as an End Chest. Items placed in either are instantly accessible from both by any player.

    Like an End Chest, the Portal Chest may be picked up with Silk Touch (Axe preferred) without spilling their contents and relocated. The chest is more blast resistant than a regular chest, but not immune.

    Recipe: any 4 plank, 4 Crying Obsidian corner accents, and an Eye of Ender core.

    Texture: a wooden chest with Crying Obsidian trim and interlocking ring latches.

    Alternatives: all Obsidian (no Wood)
