For the past year or so, we’ve all wondered what the “portal” in the ancient cities is for. This idea suggests not a new dimension but a way to revamp the Overworld while also giving the “portal” a use. After lighting the portal with Echo Shards (or something else, comment what you think), you can enter the Echo Plane. This new plane is exactly identical to the Overworld (which is why it’s a plane), except all the mobs are Sculk-ified, and there is new terrain, loot and structures overlaid onto the original Overworld of the world. It’s like an Echo of the Overworld (Eh? Eh?). This way, it’s like exploring the Overworld all over again, but with new things that make it interesting. This new terrain could look spectral like it’s a spirit world. The Echo Mobs in the Echo Plane would be more dangerous, and attracted to sound. In the Echo Plane, there would be a very rare treasure called the Echoporter (put your name idea in the comments) which allows you to travel between the Overworld and Echo Plane a certain amount of times (10 times, maybe). If you’re in the Echo Plane, you can see the players in the Overworld, but they can’t see you. If your Echoporter breaks while you’re in the Echo Plane, you need to go back to the Ancient City, and travel through the “portal” again. This would provide a use for the Warden, as it is stopping players from entering its home, which is dangerous and powerful. Possibly, if mobs in the Overworld are near Sculk for too long, they become Sculk Mobs!
