Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Spotlights

Spotlights could be used to light the ground up from higher up. This is important because it allows people to light areas up in large buildings without placing light sources near the ground. Amethyst could possibly be used in part to craft the Spotlight since it seems to have a magnifying effect as seen from the telescope. Spotlights could also be placed in other directions instead of just down. If lighting areas from long distances is too OP, it could be balanced out by a dimmed and dispersed lighting effect. The light would spread out but would also be less bright the farther away the Spotlight is from its target. Additional magnifiers could be added to the Spotlight using amethyst, the same way you can add to a map’s size with paper.
