the potion of warmth would be a potion that you would brew with hanging roots and it would give you a warmth effect The warmth effect would allow you to fall into powder snow and not freeze. this gives hanging roots more purpose and and would be good for people who don't have cows for leather armor and would be good in the early game. i also have an idea for an advancement to gain it you use a fire resistance potion and potion of warmth and jump into lava then into powder snow and you get the advancement "ice and fire"
