The new recovery compass should stay in your inventory after death

Imagine this: you use your recovery compass to reach your body that’s 1000’s of blocks away, but you die on your way back, now your recovery compass is in the pile of your items, defeating its purpose.

    Yep that should definitely be a feature for Minecraft and add Maps that have a skull on it were you die hmm?

    Maybe it would be better to add Soulbound enchantment for compass, also it may be used for other items in creative mode for map creating

    Player: Just made it out of the deep dark with my new compass! I'm gonna use it to find my stuff when I die.

    *sculk shrieker noises*

    Player: Guess I wasn't out of the deep dark yet... Shoot.

    Warden: *one-shots the player*

    Player: Oh no I died, good thing I have my new compass! Oh...

     

    And that is why the Recovery Compass is useless. When you die, it drops along with the stuff it's supposed to help you find.
