Weeping trees are a highly requested aesthetic feature. I propose a new Tree Hybridization system that allows players to create a weeping variant of every tree type in Minecraft (except Pale Oak itself), introducing cascading leaf styles and gorgeous new building blocks.
The Catalyst: Pale Oak as the Conduit
Because the Pale Oak naturally grows with a drooping canopy and hanging moss, it serves as the genetic "conduit" block for all weeping variants.
How the Crossbreeding Works:
To get a weeping version of your favorite tree, you have to breed its sapling with a Pale Oak sapling using Bees:
1. A player plants a target sapling (e.g., Birch, Spruce, Cherry, or Mangrove) directly next to a Pale Oak sapling.
2. When bees cross-pollinate between the two saplings, the target sapling has a chance to mutate into its Weeping Variant (e.g., a Weeping Birch Sapling).
3. Alternatively, for a more direct approach, players could surround a standard sapling with Pale Hanging Moss in a crafting grid to "graft" it into a weeping version.
The Rewards:
• Weeping Variants for All: Every single wood type gets a new weeping counterpart.
• New Leaf Dynamics: Weeping variants would grow taller, featuring sweeping, willow-like leaf canopies that drape down toward the ground.
• A Reason to Explore: To start your weeping tree farm, you must venture into the spooky Pale Garden biome to bring home the essential Pale Oak saplings, (and maybe we can make it so that both saplings are consumed?)
