    Update: Soul Enchantment Upgrades

I want to clarify and expand my original idea.

Players should still be able to get existing enchantments using regular XP. Soul XP would instead unlock new magical upgrades and alternative versions of enchantments.

For example, a sword with Fire Aspect could be upgraded using Soul XP into a new enchantment called Soul Aspect.

Instead of setting enemies on fire, Soul Aspect would apply a soul effect that slowly drains health, similar to the dangerous soul water in Minecraft Dungeons. It could have blue soul particles and work differently from regular fire.

This would create two possible upgrade paths: regular XP for traditional enchantments and Soul XP for special magical transformations.

Most importantly, Soul XP would only be spent when enchanting, not during combat.

This way, players wouldn’t lose existing features, while Ancient Cities and the Sift would offer new reasons to explore and improve equipment.
