Perhaps the end dimension is barren and empty for a reason. It might sound weird but I think it may have a good connection to MC lore. Maybe Mojang might add SOME stuff to the End in the future, but perhaps all the crazy ideas people have for the end update/dungeons could just be in the past… let me explain. All the dragons, the ships, and cool environments perhaps did exist but “something” happened after many years which is why the present day End looks as it is (I’m keeping it simple to avoid contradiction). Perhaps using something or magic or structure etc, the player could go back in time and visit the “old” End dimension. It sounds weird but to me it sounds more natural than all of a sudden buffing the End dimension. I don’t want to go too deep into if the player gets to stay for a period of time or stay as long as they want or if you can bring a mob back with you or if they would just die if you tried but the main idea is that something happened to the End which is why it is what it is for us in the present and perhaps we can experience how it once was before.
