Adding salt to prevent snow from appearing on the ground

When the game mechanics with the honey that we could apply on the copper blocks in the recent updates of minecraft, we could discover how to block the state of a block to the one we wanted. (as well as the blocking of the various vines and plants with the shears) 

But since the appearance of snow in minecraft in the form of layers, we had no way to prevent the appearance of it in an invisible way, either we have to put sources of lights really everywhere, or we have to put a glass roof on the highest part of our world, or strings on the blocks of our ground. 

Crystals of salt or others could then be obtained to come and apply them on blocks where no snow is wanted and then the game could define a "no snowing" tag on the block.

  Um... just use string. It's practically invisible and stops snow from appearing. Looks a little bit like salt too.

  I think this is a great idea ! I dont want to add a bunch of string onto the ground id rather have something invisible added to keep the snow away
