I would like to ask Mojang to reconsider the current restriction that disables achievements when external add-ons are used in Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
Add-ons are a huge part of Minecraft's customization. They can improve animations, visuals, sounds, quality-of-life features, and other aspects without giving players an unfair advantage. However, currently, enabling an external add-on can disable achievements for the entire world, even when the add-on does not provide cheats or affect progression.
I believe achievements should remain enabled for add-ons that are purely cosmetic, visual, technical, or quality-of-life focused. Mojang could introduce a system that checks whether an add-on actually changes gameplay or progression. Harmless add-ons could remain achievement-compatible, while add-ons that significantly affect gameplay could disable achievements.
Minecraft is built around creativity and customization, and allowing achievements with safe external add-ons would give players more freedom while still protecting the meaning of achievements.
Please consider bringing back achievement support for compatible external add-ons, or creating an official system that allows harmless add-ons to be used without disabling achievements. This would make Minecraft Bedrock much more flexible and enjoyable.
