Suggestions from my kids

Hi! My kids really love playing Minecraft and have a few suggestions. One of them suggests adding sliding doors with bars (like those in a jail), big sliding doors, and lasers. The other would like there to be motor boats.

    this idea has potential.
    instead of having a door that opens in one block it could be a sliding door that opens to the block next to it iron bars or copper bars.

    should it open like a double door by default?
    like two or more block lengths, then it could be used for more things like as if chain link fences.
    would it just be crafted with 6 just like doors?
