    2. Raw Bread and Baked Bread
Bread would be split into two different stages: Raw Bread and Baked Bread.
Instead of the current bread recipe immediately giving you edible bread, it would produce Raw Bread. You would then have to put it in a Furnace to bake it into normal Baked Bread.
Raw Bread would intentionally be a little worse than the bread we have today, but it would still be a useful food source, especially early in the game.
    Raw Bread
    3 Hunger Points / 1½ hunger bars
    3.6 Saturation
    Baked Bread
    8 Hunger Points / 4 hunger bars
    9.6 Saturation
The important part of this system is that baking isn't meant to be an annoying extra step just for the sake of it. The finished bread is actually better than today's bread, giving players a real reason to take the extra time to bake it.

    3. Raw Cookies and Baked Cookies
Cookies would work in a similar way to bread.
The existing cookie recipe would create Raw Cookies, which would then need to be baked before becoming normal Cookies.
Raw Cookies would be weaker than the cookies we have now, while the finished version would be slightly better. The improvement would be smaller than the one for bread, mainly because cookies are already produced in much larger quantities.
    The current planned values are:
    Raw Cookie
    1 Hunger Point / ½ hunger bar
    0.2 Saturation
    Cookie
    3 Hunger Points / 1½ hunger bars
    0.6 Saturation
Overall, this would make food preparation feel more meaningful. Instead of simply crafting food and eating it immediately, some foods would have a proper preparation process.

    4. Brick Oven
The Brick Oven would be a new furnace-type block designed to complete the specialization started by the Furnace, Smoker and Blast Furnace.
The idea is pretty simple: the Brick Oven would handle furnace recipes that don't fit into the Smoker or Blast Furnace, but it would process them faster than a regular Furnace.
The different furnaces would therefore have a clearer purpose:
    Smoker → Food
Blast Furnace → Applicable ores and metals
Brick Oven → Remaining furnace recipes
    Furnace → General-purpose alternative
The Brick Oven would be crafted from Bricks and Cleanstone, using a formation similar to the Blast Furnace.
It would naturally have a smaller recipe pool than the Blast Furnace. That's intentional, since the items handled by the Brick Oven generally aren't processed nearly as often as food or ores.

    5. Feeding Trough
The Feeding Trough would be a new block focused on making animal farming a little more convenient.
The current idea is based on the Composter. A trough could hold up to four levels of food, with only one appropriate food type stored in it at a time.
Depending on the animal, this could be something like Wheat, Seeds, Carrots or Potatoes.
Every time an animal eats from the trough, one food level is used up.
The main goal is to let animals take care of some of the feeding themselves. Instead of having to manually feed every single animal, they could interact with a nearby trough on their own.
Healthy animals would occasionally wander over to an appropriate trough and eat from it. After eating, they would enter the same state they normally enter after being manually fed, meaning they could still enter breeding mode as usual.
Injured animals would behave a little differently.
Instead of randomly approaching a trough, an injured animal would actively look for one. It would eat one portion and recover roughly one to two hearts of health rather than entering breeding mode.
Once the animal was fully healed, it could go back to using the trough normally and potentially enter breeding mode.
A simpler one-stack version of the trough was also considered, but the four-level, Composter-inspired version is currently the more developed idea.

    6. Lock
A Lock would be a small but useful addition that could be attached to a normal door.
Once a door was locked, it would essentially behave like an Iron Door. You wouldn't be able to simply right-click it open anymore; instead, it would require a Redstone signal.
The main purpose is to give players the functionality of an Iron Door while still allowing them to use the appearance of a normal wooden door.
There is also the possibility of using a Block Tag for the implementation. This would allow the mechanic to work with supported door types without needing to create an entirely separate kind of door.

    7. Apple Leaves and Apple Trees
Apple trees would get a much more interesting growing and harvesting system.
Certain trees could naturally generate with special Apple Leaves. These leaves would go through their own fruit-growing cycle:
Blossoms → Growth → Ripe Apples → Harvest → New Growth
The apples wouldn't simply stay there forever. Once they were harvested, the leaves would need to go through the growth process again before producing another batch.
There would also be several different ways to interact with the leaves:
Right-click: Harvest ripe apples while keeping the leaves intact.
Break by hand: Drop 1–3 apples, with a chance of also dropping a Stick.
Shears: Collect the Apple Leaves themselves.
Regular leaves would still keep their existing small chance of dropping apples.
This would make naturally generated apple trees much more useful while also giving apples a simple, renewable and visually understandable growth cycle.

    8. Apple Seeds
Apple Seeds would be a new item obtained from Apples.
Their main purpose would be allowing players to create Apple Leaves themselves. This means players could eventually establish their own apple trees instead of having to rely entirely on naturally generated ones.
Two crafting recipes have been considered.
    Current simple recipe
    1 Apple Seed + 1 Leaf → 1 Apple Leaf
    Alternative recipe
8 Apple Seeds surrounding 1 Leaf → 1 Apple Leaf
The second option could make more sense from a balancing perspective, since Apple Leaves could potentially become a renewable source of multiple Apples.
    9. “Where Are My Arrows?” Advancement
The update would also add a small advancement called:
    “Where Are My Arrows?”
You would unlock it by crafting Apple Seeds.
The name is meant to be a little Minecraft-style joke and a reference to one of the game's older and more memorable crafting-related moments.
It wouldn't have any major gameplay purpose — it's simply a small Easter egg for players to discover.
    10. Visible Farmland Moisture
Farmland already has several different internal moisture states, but players don't have a particularly clear visual way of telling them apart.
This update would change that by giving the different moisture levels their own textures.
Importantly, the farming mechanics themselves would not change at all.
It's purely a visual improvement meant to give players better feedback about the current state of their farmland without introducing another gameplay system.

    11. /hunger
A new /hunger command would allow commands and map creators to inspect and modify a player's Hunger and Saturation values.
The planned syntax would be roughly:
    /hunger <player> <set|get|add|remove> <saturation|hunger> [amount]
    This would allow you to:
Get a player's Hunger or Saturation
    Set a value
    Add to a value
    Remove from a value
It's mainly intended as a technical feature for command users, map makers and servers.
    12. Villages and Tomatoes
Tomatoes could also become a small part of naturally generated villages.
Occasionally, a village could generate a structure or wall specifically designed around growing tomatoes. This could be something as simple as a tomato-covered wall or a small farming structure.
The idea is to give the new crop some presence in the world instead of making it something players only encounter after deliberately farming it themselves.
It would also help tie the new agricultural content into the existing look and feel of villages.

    13. Golden Potato
The Golden Potato would be a special, high-value food item.
When eaten, it would give the player:
    Speed I — 10 seconds
    Night Vision I — 3 seconds
    Its planned food values are:
    6 Hunger Points / 3 hunger bars
    8.4 Saturation
The goal is to make it feel like a special and worthwhile food without turning it into an overpowered item with extremely long-lasting effects.
    14. Item Frame Improvements
Item Frames would receive a few quality-of-life improvements as well.
First, Item Frames could be made invisible. This would let players display items on walls without having the frame itself visible.
Second, Item Frames could be named using a Name Tag.
For example, giving one the special name “Plate” could turn it into a decorative plate-like object.
This is intended to be more of a fun hidden Minecraft interaction than a major gameplay feature.
There have also been some ideas about changing how Item Frames work internally, but that's more of an implementation detail and wouldn't really affect the feature from the player's perspective.

    15. Harvestation
Harvestation would be a new enchantment exclusive to Hoes and Shovels.
Its purpose would be to reduce durability consumption when performing actions such as creating farmland or paths.
The enchantment would have three levels:
Harvestation I: Durability is consumed every second time.
Harvestation II: Durability is consumed every third time.
Harvestation III: Durability is consumed every fourth time.
So rather than simply increasing the tool's durability, Harvestation would give you a chance to perform eligible farming and path-building actions without using durability every single time.
The name is a combination of “Harvest” and the kind of naming you would expect from a Minecraft enchantment.
    16. Fruity Water
Fruity Water would be a new food/drink item made from Water + Glow Berries.
Originally, the idea was to make it through brewing, but the current plan is to use a simple crafting recipe instead.
That keeps the feature lightweight and means players don't have to set up a Brewing Stand just to make a small food item.
    The current planned values are:
    2 Hunger Points / 1 hunger bar
    1.2 Saturation
Fruity Water would also stack up to 16, giving it more of a portable-drink feel without requiring an entire inventory slot for every single bottle.

    17. Splash Texts
Finally, the update would have a few small changes to Minecraft's splash texts.
One new splash text would be:
    “Saturated!”
It fits nicely with the update's increased focus on Hunger and Saturation.
Another existing splash text, “Vanilla!”, could be changed to:
    “Vanilla, but without vanilla!”
The joke plays on the two meanings of “vanilla”: Vanilla Minecraft, meaning the unmodified game, and vanilla as the actual ingredient/flavour.
It's a small fourth-wall-breaking Minecraft joke that fits the update without needing to be an actual gameplay feature.

Sorry for commenting my own post 11 times, but this was the only way to stack everything in one post, except for linking an outside document, but links are forbidden, so... Yeah.
