Dear Mojang and Readers, (it felt a bit impolite not to have a greeting)
I'm at a point in my Minecraft Realm where iron tools are just not cutting it anymore and I want to transition to diamond and start enchanting. However, I want to put mending on my tools and gear as every Minecraft player does. Here are the reasons I'm not doing that and still using iron tools and armour:
- If I want to repair my shovel with mending, I'm not about to go and kill a bunch of things with said shovel, because unfortunately, dirt doesn't drop experience.
- If I need to specifically repair my chestplate, I'm not going to just take everything else off to have mending apply or kill mobs with my chestplate, I want to put it into my offhand like Java players can.
- Mending and diamond gear is a big investment, but the effort to repair it frequently is greater than the effort to actually put it all together.
- Minecraft is all about playing the game how you want to, but if I can't even put a torch into my offhand, or a stack of dirt to free up some of my hotbar space, what does that say about other creative limitations that come with playing Bedrock compared to Java?
All I'm asking is for Bedrock and Java players to be treated equally. We can't mod away all the small issues we have with the game like Java players can. Giving Bedrock shaders was a massive step in the right direction and I hope you can continue with this.
With love for the game and all respect for the devs,
