I really like Minecraft, but I honestly think Bedrock needs to prioritize performance and stability.
I play on console, and even with my settings lowered and my render distance around 10 chunks, I still get random frame drops and freezes that can last 5–10 seconds or sometimes even longer. That is extremely frustrating, especially on a modern console.
I understand that Minecraft has a lot happening in the background: chunks loading, mobs, redstone, farms, entities, and many other systems. I also understand that adding new features can potentially make performance worse.
But that’s exactly why I think performance should come first.
I don’t expect Minecraft to run perfectly on every device, but I do expect the console version to be stable and consistent. Minecraft isn’t a graphically demanding game compared to most modern games, so having the game completely freeze for several seconds is hard to accept.
I would much rather see serious optimization before more content is added. Better chunk loading, memory management, simulation performance, fewer stutters, and fewer long freezes would make a much bigger difference than another small feature.
Minecraft already has an amazing foundation. It doesn’t necessarily need more content to keep me interested. It needs to feel good to play.
Please prioritize making Bedrock smooth, stable, and consistent. Fix the foundation first, then build on it.
