The Problem: There is a massive disconnect between PvP on vanilla Bedrock (Realms/SMPs) and featured servers like The Hive or Zeqa. Vanilla Bedrock knockback is notoriously floaty, inconsistent, and weirdly horizontal. This makes survival PvP and SMP combat feel clunky and unrewarding compared to the crisp, fast-paced mechanics on servers.
The Solution: Mojang should update the default vanilla knockback physics in Bedrock Edition to mirror the tighter, combo-friendly mechanics already perfected by top Bedrock servers. This isn't about copying Java; it's about embracing what the Bedrock community already loves.
Why This Benefits the Game:
-
Consistency: Players shouldn't have to learn two different sets of combat physics. Skills practiced on featured servers should translate seamlessly to vanilla Survival worlds and Realms with friends.
-
Content Creation: Creators thrive on high-skill combat. Tighter, server-style knockback makes for incredible clips. Bringing this to vanilla would instantly boost the popularity of Bedrock SMP content on YouTube and Twitch.
-
Better Combat: The current vanilla horizontal knockback limits strategic play and leads to awkward fights. Snappy, server-style KB allows for proper combos and spacing, making fights feel skillful rather than completely random.
Summary: We have an amazing PvP community. Let's make vanilla Bedrock SMPs just as competitive and fun to watch as the big servers!
