Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Chiseled & Hieroglyphic Wood Blocks

The Core Idea
Currently, stone variants (Stone, Sandstone, Quartz, Nether Bricks, Tuff, Deepslate) have decorative Chiseled versions that feature beautiful, lore-driven mob faces or geometric emblems. Wood, despite being the most fundamental building material in Minecraft, completely lacks this decorative variant.
This pitch proposes Chiseled Wood Blocks for every wood type. Instead of basic plank patterns, these blocks would feature intricate relief-carved, lore-friendly glyphs embedded into a 16x16 pixel frame. They would provide survival builders with incredible new options for interior wall moldings, accent borders, ornate flooring, and temple decorations.
Chiseled Wood Blocks are proposed as a new, craftable building material for Minecraft, featuring lore-driven, recessed carvings like "Villager Profile" or "Creaking Heart" for enhanced environmental storytelling. These blocks are intended for crafting via Stonecutters to add detailed textures to the existing wood library.

    This would be AWESOME! It would be one of my favorite features. Also add more chiseled stone type blocks, like chiseled basalt.
