In update 1.18, Mojang completely overhauled the world generation, and we all love the changes they made; making larger caves, higher heights, etc. The update of Minecraft's base world generation made the game so much more relevant than it was and exploded its popularity. My suggestion is to do it again. With the recent updates pertaining to vibrant visuals and the system requirements going up, I think now is a good time for Minecraft's generation to reflect that even more. One of these would be to expand the build limit; possibly to a total of 512 blocks vertically, could range from ~-128-383 blocks, using a full 512-block height, which may make it easier since numbers on the binary scale are easier to achieve (hence the reason why render is 32, stack size is 64, and old height limit was 256 for a time). With this expansion, those mountains could grow even higher and make more use of the allowed height ingame. Another big request from many players that I've seen gaining momentum in different places is for Minecraft to be more.. continental, is the right word. Currently, the oceans do not feel as much like oceans as they used to and could be. Either by making oceans more common or by changing how the noise for procedural generation is generated, this could be another world type or a toggle in the "Create New World" menu, because this change might not resonate with everybody. There are other ideas that I could list off but I feel like this is a good start in better world gen.
