The way items despawn in minecraft in 5 mins is really stupid in my opinion. especially for example if you are out with your gear/items you have collected, die in some way and have to panic/rush back to your stuff that might be far underground or out of reach where you literally cannot get to it in that ammount of time and then the game completely screws you over for it. Sure there are probably settings to prevent this but if you are on a server or some other strictly vanilla based gamemode this wont be altered. I strongly feel that it should atleast be 15-20 min and im fully aware this post will probably never be acknowledged and this change will never be made but i atleast wanted to try because it is the most irritating thing ever and screwed me over.
