Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    I feel like this could really reduce the amount of textures needed.

    For example, instead of a texture for each type of stick (13) and each type of plank (13), you would instead have one grayscale texture for a stick (1), another grayscale texture for planks (1), and then a color palette for each wood type (13). Like armor trims, the game would just take the grayscale textures and apply the color palette to them. So you go from having 26 textures to 15, with just sticks and planks. If you include other blocks and items that use the same palette, you would reduce it even more.

    Plus, it helps with keeping blocks consistent with the color palettes. If someone wants to just create a texture pack that changes the colors, rather than editing a bunch of textures, they just have to edit the color palette
