This Update focuses on improving and giving purpose to items, blocks, mobs and mechanics in Minecraft that player's rarely use while preserving Minecraft's vanilla identity.
Clock
Clocks are useful for telling the time, but most players rarely craft or carry one. This update expands the clock into a practical redstone and survival tool.
- Clocks can be placed directly on walls or floors without an item frame.
- Right-clicking a clock while holding it saves the current in-game time.
- A placed clock acts as an alarm, sending a redstone pulse every day at its saved time.
- Floor-placed clocks can be wound up to function as countdown timers. Each right-click adds 5 seconds, while Shift + Right-click adds 1 minute.
- When the timer expires, the attached bell rings, allowing players to build alarms, timers, and survival distractions.
Cauldron
Cauldrons already have several uses but feel incomplete. This update turns them into more versatile utility blocks.
- Water-filled cauldrons can remove dye from more dyed blocks and items, including wool, terracotta, stained glass, and candles.
- Four slimeballs, honey bottles, or magma cream can be combined inside a cauldron to create their corresponding block.
- Cauldrons placed beneath bee nests slowly collect honey over time.
- Water freezes into ice in snowy biomes.
- Hoppers and dispensers can interact with cauldrons for automation.
- You can now fill a cauldron with potions and get the effect when you jump in it.
