Bedrock mobile has harder combat mechanics than Java, yet forces players to navigate them with clunky touch controls.
Key Combat Issues on Mobile:
Instant Hitboxes: Zombies/Spiders deal instant melee damage upon touch with zero delay. Skeletons have pinpoint accuracy and insane fire rates.
Slow Healing: Bedrock's slow health regen (~0.5 hearts/4s) makes surviving instant mob hitboxes nearly impossible on touchscreen.
Massive Control Gap: A decent PC player easily defeats 4+ mobile players. Touchscreen blocks view and lacks full off-hand support.
The Logic of Keep Inventory:
Now that Hardcore Mode handles single-life ultimate challenge, Normal Survival (which allows infinite respawns) should focus on exploration. Forcing item loss on death doesn't add skill—it just creates tedious grind when 90% of mobile deaths stem from misclicks or touch lag.
Suggestions for Developers:
Extend Invulnerability Frames (i-frames) or add attack pre-delays to melee mobs on mobile to stop instant burst damage.
Allow Keep Inventory with Achievements in Normal Survival.
Port Java’s fast saturation healing and full off-hand support to Bedrock.
Please rebalance Bedrock survival to make it fair for touchscreen users!
