Currently, Copper armor and tools feel redundant compared to Iron. Instead of making Copper just another basic tier, it has huge potential to become a unique, situational set based on weather mechanics. Here is a concept to turn Copper gear into a high-risk, high-reward "Storm Chaser" tactical set.
1. Crafting
To emphasize its electrical properties, the recipes require conductivity:
Helmet: Crafted with a Lightning Rod in the center, surrounded by Copper Ingots.
Other Pieces: Crafted using a mix of Copper and Gold Ingots (since Gold represents high energy conductivity in Minecraft lore).
2. The Thunderstorm Mechanic
The gear has low base stats, but everything changes during a Thunderstorm:
Wearing a full set turns the player into a literal lightning magnet.
When struck by lightning, the armor absorbs the energy, putting the player into a "Charged" state (visual aura like a Charged Creeper) for 2–3 minutes.
3. Charged Buffs
While the armor is Charged, Copper tools and weapons receive massive temporary upgrades:
Tools (Pickaxe/Axe): Gain an internal Efficiency V effect for rapid mining.
Sword: Gains Sharpness V and a Chain-Lightning effect that shocks nearby mobs.
Armor: Acts like advanced Thorns, delivering lightning damage to any attacking mob.
4. Risk vs. Reward
The energy is temporary and requires precise timing. Being a lightning rod is dangerous if you are low on health, making it a brilliant tactical set you keep on a stand, waiting for a storm.
