Additional world generation options, available directly in the world settings, could be a useful and interesting feature for experimentation
Suggested features:
- Disabling individual biomes (including Nether biomes), with disabled biomes being replaced by other biomes chosen by the player, or automatically by the most common alternatives
- Adjusting the generation frequency of villages and other structures
- Choosing between world height systems: modern generation using deepslate (y ≥ -64) and classic generation without deepslate (y ≥ 0)
- Adjusting generation frequency and the ability to completely remove noise caves or carved caves
- Adjusting ocean depth and water level
- Creating custom block replacement rules for world generation, for example: leaf_litter -> air , kelp -> water , deepslate_copper_ore -> deepslate, copper_ore -> stone
- Saving, loading, exporting world gen presets
Why is this a good idea?
- Players could create unique survival scenarios without external tools or complex setup. World generation could be adapted to different playstyles, such as fully underwater worlds or worlds with unusually large villages
- Adventure map creators, Realm owners, and content creators would gain greater control over their worlds
- Custom presets would encourage experimentation and sharing within the community
- Many Bedrock world-gen options are hard to customize with AddOns, so this would boost variety and freedom in vanilla play
