Hello Minecraft Team! Since Mojang moved to the "Game Drops" system with smaller updates, I propose a healthy way to bring back community voting. The old Mob Votes caused tension because losing concepts were discarded forever. This seasonal system fixes that and matches the 4-Drop cycle.
Here is how the voting calendar could look:
* Winter Drop: A standard content update focused on blocks and items (No community voting).
* Spring Drop (Mob Vote + Second Chance): The vote features 4 options: 2 new concepts and 2 "loser" mobs from past votes (like the Crab, Penguin, or Rascal). One winner is selected. This saves dev time and gives old favorites a second chance.
* Summer Drop: A standard mechanics-focused update (improving crafting, archeology, or enchantments).
* Autumn Drop (Biome Revamp Vote): Instead of creating a brand new biome, players vote on which existing biome to refresh (Desert, Savanna, Badlands, etc.) with one new structure or minor feature.
Why this is good:
1. It reduces toxicity because players know failed mobs can return.
2. It reduces developer workload by upgrading existing biomes instead of coding new ones from scratch.
3. It keeps the community engaged all year.
Thank you! Let me know what you think.
