Tutorial Worlds were one of the best features of Legacy Console Edition. They helped new players learn Minecraft while also being fun adventure maps full of secrets and examples of what could be built in the game.
Instead of creating a completely new Tutorial World for every update, Mojang could keep one evolving Tutorial World. Small and medium game drops could update only certain sections of the map to showcase new blocks, mobs, items, and mechanics, while major updates could add entirely new regions.
This would help new players learn the game naturally, understand new features before starting their own worlds, and become more engaged with Minecraft from the beginning. Many players would be encouraged to keep exploring to discover everything added in each update.
This feature could also attract former Legacy Console Edition players who remember Tutorial Worlds fondly and may return to see how the world has evolved.
To reduce development costs, Mojang could even involve the community through building contests, allowing talented players to design future sections of the Tutorial World while following official guidelines.
Minecraft already cares about the player’s first experience. An evolving Tutorial World would improve that experience, celebrate every update in a memorable way, help new players, and reconnect many veteran players with the game.
