Revert the 26.2-pre-2 changes on Attribute Swapping

On the latest snapshot you can no longer quickly swap from one item to another and retain its attributes/use case. This change not only patched PvP techniques (breach swapping, lunge swapping, ...) used by tens if not hundreds of thousands of players, but it also makes performing actions quickly much more difficult.

For example, a use case of the previous item switching system was a technique often referred to as 'Breach Swapping'. By holding a fully charged Netherite Sword with an attribute of 8 attack damage you would quickly switch to a Mace with the Breach IV enchantment and click. What this would do is take the attack damage of the sword and practically apply it to the Mace, making the Mace deal the sword's damage while retaining its properties of performing smash attacks and being enchanted with breach.

This 'bug' is no longer simply an error in the game's code, as its been in the game for so long that it has been accepted by players as a staple of the game rather than a problem that needs to be fixed.

This still stands after 26.2-pre-3, since they claim that Attribute Swapping will be patched in future snapshots.

    in ONE update, they destroyed mace, spear and crystal pvp + 100k+ players muscle memory

    attribute swapping has become a core mechanic of the game and it will especially effect the pvp community making a  majority of mechanics and meta's useless PLEASE revert it!

    Not only does this affect pvp, but seeing the problem with Crystal PvP after this update, it shows that this affects placing every type of block quickly.

    Removing attribute swapping is just dumb. I fully support the idea to add attribute swapping to the game as it requires skill and is extremely useful

    The is no reason to remove attribute swapping, its a part of the community not only for pvp based players. This can affect other aspects on minecraft and minigames .

    the PvP community gets drastically affected since we have been having this bug for years that we have just used it as a feature. And it doesn’t affect any non PvPers either no one has complained. It’s a win win having attributes swapping since then everyone is happy. We have all played and trained for years just for it to get removed is insane it’s like removing the guns from a shooting game for us PvPers.

    add an option on whenever attribute swapping can be enabled in ur world and disabled, however keep it enabled by default.
    fixed all complaints and issues, servers decide for themselves etc.

    It affects even more features like stunning and it would ruin pvp, your gonna ruin people skill, especially top players in pvp but Survival players too. Please Mojang give attribute swapping back to us.

    Attribute swapping is essential to so many types of PvP. Removing it would take most of the fun away and lower the skill ceiling which you don't want to do. The only reason I started learning PvP is because spear and mace is so fun due to it.

    The most best and skilled part about Minecraft just got blitzed, thanks Mojang the update sucks. I wish this update strayed away from the pvp scene, looks like you just hate the people involved, if only you guys accepted attribute swapping.

    You guys could've just removed the camman18 eff V mining trick instead of the godly
    Stun slamming, axe disabling AND SO MUCH MORE but you guys just "fixed" a word on word " problem" it was NEVER even a problem in the first place, matter of fact, so much pvpers lowk got devastated in this update

    Pls Mojang revert the changes now it's what makes pvp fun in the first place

    A whole community is based on this feature, to revert this now and not when the ''bug'' was added is insane. Its to late now to fiks it and it hase become a feature by itself. Please Mojang revert this change.

    I actually thought of learning jabva pvp after leearning bedrock pvp,  but this news actually made me feel to revert back to bedrock bcz the whole purpose of java pvp is using techniques like spear dashing,breach swapping etc. but removing it mainlly removes the cove of modern minecaft pvp so i think mojang should definetely bring back attributre swapping as an ingame feature or just revert oit back to normal as it was to keep the game balance. PLEASE MOJANG BRING BACK ATTRIBUTE SWAAPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
