If mojang removes attribute swapping forever, then 1.21.11/26.1 will be the new 1.8.
They have been basically splitting the minecraft community in because of these bad changes, they legit don't care about the actual bugs that affect our gameplay but they care about the ones we like and don't get a second thought when they remove them.

This does not improve the game in any way, this ruins the PVP experience for players

I don't understand why Mojang would decide to remove attribute swapping. It is a difficult skill that requires precise timing; only serious, dedicated pvp players will learn/use it. This does not affect normal minecraft gameplay at all, and communities with hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions of members, rely on this feature to thrive. mojang please revert this patch so the modern pvp community will continue to grow. if not, thousands of players will refuse to play the newer versions, just like the 1.9 combat update, causing one more great segregation of players

i rly want mojang to keep attribute swapping cuz like i love the fact that i can spear lunge everywhere and swap to axe to stun shields easier but mojang is making a rly bad decision cuz every pvp and smp player will hate this since we they rely on attribute swapping. please mojang keep attribute swapping in the game or players will disappear from the mc community and stop playing the game

pvp is an essential part of Minecraft and attribute swapping is a minor bug

It is insincere of Mojang to allow so many 'bugs' or unintended features to be kept in the game for so long, for this to suddenly be viewed as an issue. It has molded the modern PVP 'meta', mechanics, and gameplay, and become a massive part of the Minecraft community as an aspect. Even the creeper was not intended to be part of the main game initially, and now it has arguably become the face of Minecraft. If the dev team deems attribute swapping unbalanced, it would be ideal to try and work around it to preserve what the player base values in these mechanics. If, however, it does not fit their vision of what the combat gameplay should feel like, be, and was originally designed to embody, then at the very least they should consider providing an alternative or a rework, since a noticeable part of the game will be affected by this change. At the end of the day, Minecraft is still a sandbox; however, a major portion of the player base [the "PVP Community"] has dedicated hundreds of hours into mastering combat mechanics built directly around this... suddenly "pulling the plug" on something closer to a feature than a bug without any real warning or discussion behind it feels rushed and unjustified.
