Mace

The mace is a very rare and powerful weapon to get your hands on, and I think instead of losing all its durability and breaking like a regular tool, it would lose its ability to smash players, and its texture could turn into a sort of shattered version of the weapon, so it acts like the elytra when it reaches 0 durability. And to mend it in an anvil (if you do not have the mending enchantment on it), you could use another heavy core with the broken mace to repair it back to full durability, like mending an elytra with phantom membranes.

    This is a cool idea, although requiring another heavy core to repair the mace feels like it defeats the point. Couldn't the player just craft another one instead? Why not require something else, like breeze rods, echo shards, or diamonds?
