The regular 4-day rainfall cycle: In almost all biomes – except for hot biomes, tundra, ice peaks, jungle – it rains consistently once every 4 days year-round.
Regardless of its form, rain or snow always lasts for exactly 10 minutes and cannot be skipped by sleeping in a bed. During a 10-minute snowstorm, snow always accumulates by 0.1 layer, even on top of ice during a snowstorm.
Once spring begins in a specific biome, snow melts at a rate of 0.2 layers during the day but does not melt at all during the night. Snow melts just as quickly during a spring rainstorm as it does on a clear spring day.
When the snow has completely melted in the spring, there is a 1-day transition period during which any remaining ice melts from the water sources. On the following day, the greening process begins, lasting for four days before peak summer lushness is reached.
